The 1965–66 and ninth season of the FIBA European Champions Cup was won by Simmenthal Milano for the First time in its history, the first of three total wins. Simmenthal defeated Slavia Prague 77–72 in the final of the first ever Final four held in the competition, with two venues used: a venue in Milan and the Palazzo dello sport arena in Bologna, Italy.〔(Champions Cup 1965–66 )〕 The Italian team, featuring future Hall of famer Bill Bradley, defeated favorites and former champs CSKA Moscow in the semi final, 57–68. ==First round==
